Is KINGAI OS Linux?Yes. It builds on the Linux ecosystem and a modern Ubuntu LTS direction while adding KINGAI system and intelligence layers.
Does KINGAI OS require the cloud?The architecture is local-first and cloud-neutral, but individual models and connected services may require network access.
Can AI run locally?Local/private model routing is part of the architecture; exact local-model experience depends on hardware and release state.
Can I use normal Linux software?Linux compatibility is a core foundation, though application compatibility must still be validated per release.
Can I disable AI features?User control is a design goal; final consumer controls continue to evolve with the Desktop product.
